growing up i wasnt the best shaver and my hair grew back fairly quickly, i got razor bumps and stuff so id try different shaving creams, razors etc etc. i would also slap my face with lots of alcohol after the shaving followed by a some vaseline.

Ive been razor shaving every day since about 7th or 8th grade im in my early 20's now and over the years the side of my face has darkened my skin tone doesnt match . ive dealt with it and just accepted it but is their any way to clear my face up? any solutions (no i dont want to grow a beard)

My face skin isnt this bad but this is close to what it looks like

I dont have much issue with razor bumps, it's just my skin has darkned similar to the picture above and id like to know if that can possibly be fixed to my regular skin tone or close to it

-__- dont say put makeup on either please i need legit answers please.

Any creams or soaps or something to treat it?

The unfortunate reality is the change in pigment you're experiencing is simply scarred skin...you're not going to be able to undo 15 years of cut-bruises.

Like the other poster recommended, start using an Edger ASAP.

Razors just aren't meant for black people man. I was forced to shave with a razor in boot camp and I had terrible razor bumps because of that.I suggest growing a beard for a few weeks so your skin can heal. Then, start using clippers to shave. Here is what I use after I shave:

There are plenty of fade creams out there that work. They probably won't restore your face to 100%, but over a month or two they'll greatly reduced the darkness.

I had a scar on my face from a cut a while back, and I used a OTC product called Nadinola and it worked fairly well and reduced the appearance. I tried a lot of things to get rid of it, but for me that's the only thing that really worked. Pretty much anything that has hydroquinone is your best bet to get rid of the scarring, but you don't want to use it long term. If you go to a dermatologist they'll give you the same thing only it'll be a lot stronger formula.

Get the t-liner posted above.
Adjust blade so that it cuts as close as possible so you don't feel the need to shave the same spots over & over.
Don't shave the same spots over & over.
Shave with the grain. I personally don't do this as going against the grain gets a closer shave, but I also rock a beard now and am only shaving about a 1/4 of my beard.
Get a good facial toner. By good, I mean something with ingredients you can pronounce and know what they are. Honey, tea tree, coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, etc.
Shea or cocoa butter might help even your skin tone.

I made this: Peppermint & Honey Facial Toner - 1 tablespoon raw honey, 1/3 cup warm water, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, 1 cup water 5 drops peppermint essential oil
and my skin tone evened up nicely.

Do you still use razors to shave? Some of my friends use Magic Shave & swear by it.

i still razor shave, i tried that magic shave stuff before and it was a pain to get all the hair off, shaving was easier and i was able to get a closer cut of the hairs.

He's right...if you start using the Edger, you'll give your skin a real chance to finally recuperate, because you literally been cutting yourself up for years. I can relate...fortunately...I stopped shaving with blades real early in the game and switched to an Edger. It doesn't cut as close as a blade but fukk it, it gets the job done and my face has thanked me for it.

Like RealBrand says...it may not go to 100% the way it was but it definitely has a chance for great improvement. Drink lots of water, no-fragance moisturizers (not the acid they sell you in stores). There's a cream I have at home that works wonders, its actually meant for ezcema, it has no fragance or acidic chemicals whatsoever. I'll get you the name when I get home.
