"BBC News is reporting findings published in the journal ACS Nano by Dr David Mitlin from Clarkson University. Dr. Mitlin's team took waste hemp stems and recycled the material into supercapacitors with performance as good, or better, than those built from graphene, at a fraction of the raw materials cost. "We're making graphene-like materials for a thousandth of the price - and we're doing it with waste. The hemp we use is perfectly legal to grow. It has no THC in it at all - so there's no overlap with any recreational activities," Mitlin says.

I've said it up here multiple times ....... MJ legalization is WAYYYYY bigger than people gettin their smoke on ....... the lowkey aspect of this is the 1,000s of products hemp can make ......... but more importantly, that catches the attention of many industries .......... can substitute ...... :wow:

Yea, but hemp fibers can't really be monopolized. So guess which material has a higher chance of being sold to the masses in the future.

help isn't illegal in the US by the way. We just can't grow it here. I eat hemp protein on the daily...but it's sourced in Canada. HEMP has so many uses it's mind boggling.

Not sure if it's true but I heard the cotton fields owners/processors had a big hand in cannabis being classified as a drug.

Notice in the last two years or so on this whole legalization/decriminalization issue...that Industrial Hemp never makes in the larger MSM discussion.... :smugfavre:

In 1937 MJ was made illegal, but when WWII started up, early 1940s....the military needed fiber for the effort and hemp was best suited. So they had a national campaign to get farmers and the public to promote "Hemp for Victory" !!!

then it was made illegal again after the victory ..... :youngsabo:

Don't forget the chemical industry ...
