Remember when you could turn a game on and within a few minutes be playing the game? Now every game that comes out seems like you have to watch a 10 minute video or some extended cut-scene bullshyt constantly. I want to PLAY games, not watch them. If I wanted to watch something, I'd put a movie on. I'm really not that interested in stories, I want enjoyable gameplay. Is anyone else with me?

Heavy Rain was piff. I really enjoyed that game.
The games you want are called indie games. I think people don't look enough for what they want. You're letting IGN and typical forum discussions cloud your vision on what's out there.
Well games are much more complex these days, back then a game didn't need to hold your hand as things were fairly simple and or the game designed a way to show you it's mechanics while playing early on.

There's infamous 1 and 2, Arkham City, Sleeping Dogs, GTA obviously, Red Dead Redemption, Just Cause, Fallout, Skyrim, Mafia 2, Far Cry 3, Dead Island, Saints Row etc.
