As a Stinger mark, part of me is glad he didn't hang around until he was completely Larry like Taker, Flair, Hogan etc. He came in, looked much better than anticipated, got over immediately, appeared at Mania, main evented a PPV for the title, then called it a day and got inducted to the HOF with the GOAT classy acceptance speech. It seems appropriate to the Sting mythology that he came through (like hurricanes do), made an impact, and then vanished.
He seemingly got everything he wanted out of his WWE run, so I'm happy with that. Obviously wish he didn't get injured though.
Imo, I think they sabotaged sting and at times I feel Rollins is hhh troll inring avatar joke on the talent.
till hhh feels he can take the strap off Rollins at mania and bury the shield in legacy for the clique nwo in the wwe owns wcw lexicon.
Rollins has been in to many matches as a scrawny chicken and bones to be that careless and it makes no sense that those inuries would occur on those stages versus those opponents.
In the Bret Goldberg thing....it was obvious Goldberg was still green and someone was smart enough in the power plant to give him a good match template and finish that just immediately worked with his look to fit in and get the rocket.
So, in that instance goldberg I understand had ego, rush and inexperience to fall back on as an excuse for Bret.
With Rollins, Rollins been in there with all the best guys before at different sizes physique wise to know the dangers of what he was doing.
So, I dunno how or what to say about his carelessness besides look at the fix being in.
As Rollins really never ramped as an actual wwe guy in their whole idea of what makes a top me from the Indies plus guy.
So, with the Rollins shyt.
I feel the fix was in on cena and sting.
Shame the wwf fears what sting is cause sting would have been the addition and could have been used as a reboot quality guy.
If it ever got so bad via injury or whatever reason, that the wwe needed a shot in the arm to recover.
Just horrible mismanagement and execution on very possible level by the wwe.
