The worst thing about being a nice guy (I know because I definitely have this flaw) is the willingness to put things in perspective, have loads of empathy/sympathy, and forgive. I don't even think Sting thought twice about the feud, and its Bret Hart/Hogan-induced fukkery, really checking his accomplishment. I perspective, he shouldn't, as this wasn't the first time he's won the belt, and was in the middle of a career rejuvenation himself. Scott Hall gave the same assist to Sting in his career, by inspiring Crow Sting, that he and Nash did for Hogan. He might feel connected from this.

The thing is there's a question about where all of this Hogan talk keeps coming from. It's different if they just let time take its course a bit, and the Black fans a chance to forget the Sting of it more, before pushing a racist back into the forefront again. Still slightly tarnished, Hulk will be back on Mt. Rushmore again when he returns. And he will return.

It's just the lack of sensitivity, and more the "he's my bro, and since you're my fan, going to lend my cred to a racist, because he's my bro" mentality to it. I've seen many stars of other sports get the opposite treatment for mess, and Hulk was a real scumbag backstage. Narcissists usually always win if they're rich though, even if they didn't have the prestige they started with from their arrogance.
