I'm probably wrong but in addition, I also thought it was Drake showing respect. Most of the people that dissed him in the past were Vets. Meek is a peer so he has to shut it down.

Common just needed promo for his album and it was obvious and pathetic really. Drake and everyone else even semi-conscious at the time (no pun intended) saw thru it and dude only gave him a few lines on Stay Schemin.
