Hey guys help me find a car for my bro, $4-6K range

My bro is back in college, he's just looking for a reliable commuter he can beat up, cheap to maintain, he ain't got the money to swerve in a Benz like you guys, please don't attack him he's trying. . Fuel efficiency isn't necessary but it's a damn good plus.

The car's gotta be out here in Tucson AZ. He can go up to $7K but it's gotta be a good deal. Here's what I've found that are solid so far:

98 Civic, 88K miles:

1998 Honda Civic LX, $5,495 - Cars.com

00 Corolla, 84K miles:

2000 Toyota Corolla CE, $6,333 - Cars.com

He wants this 01 Escape, 101K miles:

Are any of these good? Does it get much better in this price range?

A 94-96 Impala for 6 racks? You can find one for that ticket but that shyt aint gon be running worth a damn. A good SS in those years still go for 9K and up easy. Maybe in your city you can catch one for 6K or less but they still fetching 10 and up my way. Plus that aint a good car for a nikka in school. That Impala heavy as hell with a Corvette motor, that bytch aint no yype of good on gas. And then on top of that nikkas will be tryin to steal that car left and right. The SS needs to be in a garage. Anything other than that and you askin for trouble.
