That. What would of been convenient would be if they would've started a separatist movement from the NAACP and the, and slowly began to turn it into a political party who helped push black men and women into positions of power instead of asking white people what they'll do for them
you think you live in africa right? who do you think gives black people power in america? WHITE PEOPLE. who gave obama the nod?WHITE PEOPLE

if you dont get their nod you are powerless. now sure you can have a lot of money. that helps. but they can still shut you out of the political arena. Its not enough black people to move the needle if we were to say push a candidate. if white people dont want him or her. he/her wont get in. they have too many votes/ too many people. vs our smaller population. thats just the numbers friend.

Of course they were thrown out, what were they supposed to do? You expect them to just let the BLM group chant during her entire rally? Protestors are always thrown out.

I wish there would be a transition from just interrupting folks to doing something that would incite change like pushing their own candidates in local elections and supporting the candidates that support them. It can't all be about disruption and getting thrown out of events.
again, black people dont have the physical numbers to pull that off in most places. where we do. we have black people in office. its really that simple. unless you have a ferguson situation. that was a darn shame on black folks for letting all those white people run their black town.

We're enough to play spoiler though, which is threatening enough

you're missing the point. thats all we can play is spoiler.

this means we cant PUSH our guy. EVER.

say you ran. and we were all in for MadV, 100% of the black vote. that is not enough. all that would happen is, the white folks on the dem side would do everything in their power to try and get you to vote for one of them. they would start pushing that "you dont want the dems to lose to a repub because you guys voted for a guy that wont win since WE white people wont vote for him.

and its true. because thats exactly what could/would happen.

any person that black people thinks will help us a lot. no matter what race he/she may be. will only get in if white folks think he will do even more for them. i know. its sad. but thats what we're living with in the US as black people.

The Green Party is also a bourgeois party...

Nowhere in my post was it suggested that I have any illusions about Sanders. He's not a revolutionary. He's not even a socialist.
I get that my whole point was that if one were to give a symbolic vote to Bernie Sanders (who you admit is no revolutionary) then giving that vote to someone not running as part of the two party system would be more impactful (as impactful as symbolic votes can ever be).

And this is where you are misguided. It's not about the color of the person in the position, it's their policies that matters. Most of the people in seats that were taken over by the tea party were white, the tea partiers weren't satisfied with them just being white, they wanted someone who would actually champion their cause.

Put some BLM candidates in some seats, and don't assume that because someone shares your skin tone they share the passion you have for specific issues.

I'm talking about politics at every level, not just for the office of president.

which just means voting in national elections is but a small avenue amongst many other more impactful tactics
also highlights the importance of building along class lines
It means that more black folks need to be active in local politics in terms of voting and running. Most of the issues that truly impact your life the hardest on a day to day level are happening locally anyway.
