Think about it. This guy had the business acumen and the foresight to see that video sites like youtube, dailymotion etc. was going to render his station obsolete, so he sold it for billions before it got devalued by Youtube.

I mean why would you sit for hours, waiting for your favorite to be played, when you can just
go on Youtube and watch it within minutes, and as much times as you want.

He made 3 billion dollars off of a company that was worth no where near 3 billion.

The old BET could have pretty much been ran from a one room office. All they did was take the artists videos that the label submitted to them, pop it into a VCR, and press play for 12 hours straight. The guy pretty much got 3 billion for just doing that.

Whether you like it or not, he's one of the best black business men in the world. And pocketing 3 billion, off of a channel that had very little original programming on it needs to be lauded.
