Itunes and 360 deals ain't giving them the MILLIONS they are losing. Barbara Streisand in her hey day was going 5x Platinum, Diamond like it was nothing. We are talking albums cost 15-20 a pop, that's not counting cassette and vinyl. There's no way they've made up for their lost revenue. Even Hip Hop, in the 90's dudes were going Diamond and 7, 8, 9x Platinum. I'm not saying they haven't cut the losses cause they have but there is no way they've made up for the MILLIONS they've lost. Nastper KILLED record sales period. At the time it came out I felt it was something different but historically looking back it literally changed the way we listen to music.
