- I have never in my life listened to a Nas song.
Not a single one. It's not even that I don't like him, I have just never gotten around to listening to his music. Like every other major hip hop figure, yes i've heard from them, but I have never just sat and listened to a Nas song
- I dont like listening to old music when I'm out and about, of course i will when I'm at home on youtube or something, but when I'm out with my phone strictly new shyt. of the like 2600 songs on my phone, damn near 97% of the shyt is from the past 5 to 6 years.
- I got a macabre fascination with gangsta ass rap. I dont mean like radio gangstas, I mean real ass nikkas in the field, that put in work. maybe cus I used to be a hoodrat gun toting nikka when i was a pre teen and teen, but as a young brotha in college now studying IT I still love that shyt. I shouldnt like music that is legit about killing nikkas and shyt but I dunno, cant even explain it.
listening to this shyt did give me a keen insight into the true dynamics of the crime and hip hop relationship, it truly is symbiotic, but not in the way alot of people think tho, most people, non black and black dont actually get it. like i read posts even on this majority black forum, and most of yall literally have no idea wtf you guys are talking about on why the shyt is actually happening, and on how complex the shyt actually is.
