Most conspiracy theories are bullshyt...but then you have Watergate, the Pentagon Papers, all the human experiments that have been declassified over the years, etc.... I think this rap theory may have some merit. All you have to do is turn on the radio, lol, it's pretty obvious to me...especially when you start realizing who really runs the music business.

but Hip Hop is the biggest and most popular genre among young white kids. Doesn’t the conspiracy only work if it keeps black kids down and dumb? If promoting the violent and more gang/drug related aspects of Hip Hop more than the conscious (for lack of a better overall term) was part of the conspiracy I could probably agree with that side of it. It does seem that the “powers that be” tend to promote and push the gangsta image more than someone like early Ice Cube or Kweli or Lupe or anyone else that might not be all out gangsta shyt. I could see that being a real thing.
