Crazy how this thread was made, I seen someone today driving around bumping In da Club 
in da club was one of those legendary songs in the moment and definitely made its mark in the game..but if we're talking iconic, hip hop hooray is in the same box as t.r.o.y (they reminisce over you), juicy (biggie), rapper's delight (sugarhill gang), paid in full (erik b & rakim), etc.

I rarely attend pro sporting events, and the last two that I attended, 8 years apart, played Hip Hop Hooray in the stands.*
In the Club was a monster hit, but Naughty has some anthems that get burn in non hip hop settings to this very day.
*First one was long time ago at Continental Arena, and ironically....KG was sitting in the nose bleed seats where we were.

No slight to Hip Hop Hooray which I love, but In The Club is just more known and populated in non hip hop crowds than HHH is

50 Cent even mentioned the genius of IDC in that every day it's somebody's birthday so every day that song is getting played somewhere and used in videos, reels, etc.
Hip Hop Hooray is truly timeless
Kinda what I was about to say. Hip Hop Hooray is a stadium/arena anthem. You go to a sporting event and you'll hear that right along with Jump Around and when they mix PSA with the Rocky theme.
