If you have to look for something then it is not relevant. If it is not relevant then it really doesn't matter as far as talking about any genre as a whole. Nikkas didn't have to look for shyt Pre-96 for counterculture in rap.

That is honestly the laziest cop out I ever heard.

That's like saying there are no good hard hitting documentaries because they don't just play them on HBO when you turn it on.

Nota a cop out. It's called "recorded music" and "music industry" for a reason. If no one sees your shyt or if I have to do be on the Internet scavenging mad hard to find your music then you don't have any pull on the direction of said music.

You can record and put out music with out being in the industry. I can go record a spoken word album of my rants against the US Government and upload it to the Internet that people can search for with little to no effort on my end.

Just because you don't get to be lazy and get hand delivered the music does not mean no one is making it.

Disco was a type of music the same why Westcoast Gangster rap is. Dance music is still around, and Hip-Hop will be too.

No one is arguing if it is being made. Your missing the point. Popular mainstream music use to be very different. You didn't use to have to search for certain types of music. Literally the only point being made right now.

Also, fyi people still make disco.

You just said it was 'dead'

All music is dead as far as being socially conscious counterculture shyt for the youth to express themselves.

It's not. Your argument has to do with you being lazy, really. It's not hand delivered to you, so you are upset.

No, I said music as counterculture is dead. I never said good music isn't being made.
