I said it. We can categorically deny it all we want but the game ALWAYS needs a Lord from the Mecca hot at some point just to keep the flag flying high for this beautiful music in its purest form.

:whoo: Deny it all you want, my mind is made up. New York needs a messiah. shyt this genre needs a messiah. Nothings selling because nobody wants to hear this bullshyt southern influenced tattoos on their eyes retard whale noise making bullshyt. EVERY one of the greatest rappers has come out the big apple. EVERY ONE OF THEM.

:lawd: fukk your opinion.

Gotta wait till them underachievers (Red Cafe, etc) go out the game until we see another young NY great. Learn from the West and embrace change cause NYC today is nothing like NYC of the early 90s.

The last thing it needs is some weird Western slang in there. I'm cool with Kendrick Lamar but I wanna hear that New York accent in its purest form from a genuinley hungry artist with a plan and an IQ over 100. It seems a lot of these guys popping literally have zero intellect and this shyt is supposed to be a given for any truly awesome rapper.

Who was the last hot NY rapper? 50 cent?

Times have changed breh... I've been hearing people say this for over a decade now and it hasn't happen

I mean you got Asap Rocky and Joey Badass I suppose... but they suck in my opinon

New Yorkers need to just appreciate Jay-Z and Nas while they are still around because once they are gone. Its a wrap

NY embraced the southern slang and their music for the past decade. They have to come up with something new and interesting cause every place outside of NY is popping.

Exactly my breh and look how that left the city :merchant:

All they have to do is do what New York does best and did best. Nas has kept it Hip Hop and when I say, 'Hip Hop' I mean he's done it the way it was created and he hasn't experimented and he's STILL about.

New York seems to have forgotten what it invented.

That made a lot of nikkas leave the east coast altogether. They thinking "Why stay here when I can go to the ATL and see real bad bytches strip to 808 beats and are easy to fukk?" :manny:

Don't blame dudes for leaving NY to explore. Especially when NY refused to evolve and to change. This is a southern culture now with the cars n simps worshipping strippers n the club scene.
