I am seeing alot of songs coming out addressing societal issues, calls to speak out, etc. I see it as the bandwagon that it is.Hip-hop isn't going to take back its relevance on social issues as long as it's reactionary instead of revolutionary. The reckoning America is having to come to is allowing Trump. The reckoning for hip-hop is letting Kanye West survive. When Kanye threw his support behind that goblin, I saw alot of speculation, comments, and debate among whites and some hip-hop fans. Mostly what I saw was plea copping, excuses and praising his publicity skills. I don't recall one song aimed at Kanye. Not a bar, a lyric. I saw more heat on Rick Ross for being a prison guard. There was more heat on Drake for ghostwriting than on that clown West. Until he gets cancelled for real, I don't want to hear it
