smh@ 5 albums going gold and Plat in the year and one of them came last year.

Add to the fact there's was only like 2 plat albums and one gold in 2011 and its sad where sales are at.

It still amazes me that with access to Soundscan numbers and all this supposed music industry knowledge, so many of these website and blog writers still fail to understand that an album scanning 500,000 doesn't mean it is "NOW GOLD!", and that RIAA recognizes units shipped, not sold. So those albums sitting around 400,000 are probably already gold certified.
