im latino, but why do white people think there opinion on black music is above....well, black folks?
Yes

See music media and organisations like the Grammies... According to them Eminem has been the biggest rapper for years then macklemore now... Yet hip hop fans radio, clubs etc and really black people don't funk with them. Its no coincidence the heist was promoted on and blew up on pop radio they tried to do the same with asher Roth but only got a crossover song.

I'm not saying he ain't... He was promoted outside rap radio tho. Pop radio is a lot bigger audience wise. This gives artists an unfair advantage. It wasnt like they crossed over they skipped rap radio. Black artists have to get popular to cross over and some never do.

If your gonna promote macklemore as a pop artist then he should have got a pop Grammy not rap album of the year. No one knew who he was in rap music and they didn't think it mattered to introduce him as a rap act to the mainstream, they did it as pop...
