After watching a few Open Court episodes, Wade is easily the most disrespected superstar to ever grace an NBA floor.
In the convo about the next 10 after the 50 greatest players, Wades name barely came up. And Shaq (my nikka, but he HATES Wade for some reason) tried adamantly to say fukking Penny should make the list over Wade............... We are literally talking about a nikka who does not have not 1 season as good as Wades worse year (Penny was my nikka, but never even came close to becoming a great player due to his knee injury. His time was extremely short lived). And still, Shaq continued to try and put TMac ahead of Wade also. shyt is ridiculous. And that's only the beginning of my rant.
On the decades episode, once again, WADE WAS NOT EVEN MENTIONED IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM. Reggie was giving other people who did not make his lists "honorable mentions", but yet NOBODY there even brought Wades name up.
I don't think yall are realizing how disrespectful that shyt is. Since 2003, there is Lebron, Kobe, Wade, and everybody else when you include numbers, accomplishments, and entertainment. For a nikka that was neck and neck with Lebron every single year until 2012 with the numbers, a nikka that has more rings than LeBron and Kobe over that period, how can these basketball minds just disregard that nikka as if he was a Jamal Mash burn or a Joe Dumas or nikkas of that nature.
The thing that really gets me, during the convo about the next 10, both Reggie, Isiah, and Ernie included Wade. However, when Shaq and C Webb started saying their opinions, NOBODY even disagreed with them
. I would never disrespect my nikka Penny, but he is so far behind Wade in whatever argument Shaq could make, it has me like
that nobody went hard against their opinions. Wade did not even come up in the excitement debate or the crossover debate.
I know injuries have a lot to do with it, but it makes no sense to pentialize Wade (who never missed a full season and never missed more than 31 games) but award T Mac or Penny, which both careers were killed early cause of injuries.
The only legit reason I see for this, is the fact that Lebron came to Miami, and all them nikkas forgot everything that happened before then. I mean, it aggrivates me cause that's my favorite player, but I know Wade has to feel shytty as hell that all them nikkas on that panel pretty much disregarded his place in history. He has his rings and all, but sometimes the credit as an individual can mean more than a team accomplishment.
The crazy thing about this whole shyt................. That whole narrative can change if Miami knocks CLE out of the playoffs in the next 2 seasons. All of a sudden, nikkas would remember what he did in the past. It's fukked up, but it is what it is
