Gangrene projects right? Another Alc collab.
Not sure too many after that breh
Yeah, I guess Step Bros counts too with him and Ev.

I was trying to think of ones that didn't involve ALC.

Oh No and Khrysis had one but never put the album out. Oh No and Madlib had one called The Professionals, but I think it was mostly just Oh No on the raps.

There's definitely not been very many.

Off the first listen this is stellar. Hit boy has turned into a respectable rapper but Alchemist has become a high level spitter and I look forward to hearing his raps now. The production is dope of course.

I’m fukking with this.

Breh like 1 or 2 years I ago was saying shyt like "Alc is dope but not touching top 10" to now having him firmly in there.

I still don't enjoy everything he does (those Roc Marci albums still put me to sleep) but the creativity and output is undeniable.

First listen this album bangs, Hit also did his thing and both didn't slack on the rapping either.

True! I hear you.

He's kinda always floated a little outside of my Top 10. But after the past couple years, with all this output that's high quality, I had to rethink it. I probably f*ck with 95% of the sh*t he drops, heavily. He's that dope to me. Usually when somebody drops as much as he does, they have a few joints that don’t work for me. But damn near everything ALC drops, I kinda go crazy for. LOL!!

Another thing I love about this album is the cover art. Like, I complain about this shyt a lot (especially among legacy artists) but stuff like this is so much more creative and more interesting than slapping a lazy fukking photo of yourself on your album cover.

It ain't 2000 anymore. Using a photo of yourself made sense back then, because browsers in a CD store might recognize you from BET or MTV or whatever, or maybe they saw your video but didn't remember your name. Year after year I'm blown away by the amount of covers in today's streaming era that are lazy af and don't take any opportunity to tell a story or show some kind of interesting concept.

One of the more underrated things about ALC's catalogue is that most of his cover arts are interesting.

Definitely! I just realized that he never said anything else about his album that was supposed to drop a couple months ago lol

There's a feature that's supposed to be coming through, that he held the whole album back for.

He said it's a "phenomenal" appearance that he can't let get away. So after 10/31, he said he's going to update everybody on when the album should be dropping.

I thought it was Jay, lol.

But he said he doesn't want anyone to know. As of now, it's Roc, Lady London was on it, but I don’t know if that's gonna make it. And he has his artist Kendrix on there too. It's like 17-18 joints, so far.

I never thought about this before. It makes a lot of sense. That's why album covers these days don't have the name of the artist or the album anymore. It looks tacky and you can tell more of a story with the cover art itself.

I agree with ALL of this.

Over the last few years i’ve really gotten into my Vinyl collecting bag and so album art means a lot to me. Artists who take time in crafting great album art will always get my respect because presentation actually MEANS something when you’re asking fans to purchase merch and bundles.

Even something like Mobb Deep’s Infinite album art, though not the best i’ve ever seen, looks a lot better in vinyl.
