This, kinda.

I don't mind this because at least cats are rapping but I'm not sure what people envisioned when Joey kicked this off. I expected a gang of C-Z tier affiliates from both coasts to go at it, which is exactly what happened.

I doubt Kendrick gives a f*ck either way. Dude is booked on a tour until August, it would be nice to get some lines at some point but I don't foresee it happening any time soon.

People forget that after the Nas/Jay battle had the culture in a choke hold a bunch of lessor battles/beefs popped off because of it. nikkas was trying to recapture that energy. Look at Jim Jones, that wack ass nikka made a career out of dissing Jay and Nas, got some motion, put out ONE hit song, and now 20 years later people mention him like he’s actually something other than a glorified weed carrier.

Its the same here. Kendrick and Drake had a vice grip on not only the culture, but all of popular music throughout the summer. Drake lost pretty badly but still got two top 20 charting songs out of it and we all know how Kendrick faired. If nikkas get a tenth of the attention Drake and Kendrick commanded most of them will call it a win.
