LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
The identity of a man fatally shot by police in Clifton Heights last week has been released, as well as more details and video from the investigation that shed more light on what happened.
The shooting took place Oct. 26 inside a unit at The Whitney apartment complex in the 2500 block of River Bend Drive.
Kentucky State Police Capt. Paul Blanton released a video statement on the status of the investigation on Friday. It also included body camera video from two officers that show the shooting, and the moments that led to it.

LMPD had said that a man, now identified as Ivan Foster, 27, was armed with a gun and had been asked to leave by the homeowner.
Blanton said three officers followed him into a bedroom to gather his personal items.
During that time, Blanton said Foster got increasingly agitated. He can be seen on video repeatedly looking into a stack of clothes on a dresser, despite repeated verbal commands from officers for him to stop.

Blanton said there was a gun in those clothes stacks, which Foster grabbed and then fired off at Officer Tom Seabolt. The bullet struck his police radio, and he was not injured by it.
There was a tussle between the two on the bed and Foster threatened to kill Seabolt.
Officer Timothy Lanham then fired several shots at Foster, resulting in his death, Blanton said.
Foster was pronounced dead at the scene.
KSP said the investigation is still ongoing and the autopsy is still pending. They did not provide a timeline on when the investigation could be complete.
Police said Seabolt has been with LMPD for 21 years, and Lanham for eight. The third officer in the room was identified as Amber Andrade. None of them were hurt.
