Pretty sure you can't just shoot someone for walking up to your car, even in Texas,

Can't shoot or assault them as they're walking away after breaking your windshield either.

That’s definitely a justifiable shoot in Texas. The glass breaking guarantees that you wouldn’t even have to go to the station. They’d take you statement on scene and send you on your way.

I was expecting worse, take it to court, charge with assault, medical bill and get him to spend some jail time. This doesn't warrant a violent response and escalate the situation further. Now if dude kept attacking, I had a gun in me, he would be lying dead on the floor and I would not lose sleep.

American gun culture has created an environment where Americans are willing to go to war with eachother over the dumbest shyt, that's why we're the most violent 1st world country by far.

I don't think people replying that they would react with gun violence have ever shot anyone. Having to deal with court and lawyers for shooting someone over this shyt just isn't worth it unless you're life is truly as risk.

They have video of dude, his truck and tags. That’s enough to handle it with minimal risk.

They also sounded and reacted like well-to-do teens. Dude was smart to keep pushing. I would want my kid to handle that situation the same.

Yup. Smart to keep it pushing. And this is coming from someone who has had multiple road rage incidents and have handled them poorly. I realized recently how stupid my reactions have been to people who are road raging and promised myself I would react smarter if that ever happened again.
