I just watched this Korean show and they were at a fish market and had dried fish hanging on a line, but there were no flies. Thought it was fascinating, and I'd be interested to know how they did it.

Not sure if applies to fish, but mammals and birds excrete adrenaline into their blood if they're afraid and it makes the meat taste different, basically worse. Most bigger kill plants now put the animal to sleep before killing it.

I remember going to a slaughterhouse for turkeys at a previous job, and all dude was paid for was slicing turkey necks all day. If I ever had to typecast a serial killer lol...

I'm always going to be a carnivore, but dude could just chopped the head off and then got to work. Not sure the reason for killing it as slow as possible...

meh, fish get mauled and eaten alive by predators in the wild all time, if humans want to do it too, no biggie.
Hyenas be eating animals a$$hole first while they're still alive.

If i was that fish i'd be salty either way (no pun) because there is no such thing as a kind humane way of murdering and eating something, despite what people tell themselves to make themselves feel better.

That said, For me it mostly just seems like a waste of effort, why bother having to control it from flopping around the whole time and possibly cutting yourself, when you can just kill on the outset and butcher in peace? From that perspective is seems a little sadistic. Like he torturing it for fun.
