I was having mad fun with my PS4 until I had to call the coffin and get it replaced. I was a bit salty, but with all the games still on the vita and Ps3 and now recently purchased first laptop, I'm not even mad. shyt gets back tomorrow and I'm going to be having fun with it again, along with all the rest of my toys.

yeah, but at the same time if consumers blindly buy every new thing, what motivation is there for companies to try anything innovative or creative?
aren't these the reasons people criticize games like COD? every year the fans buy it regardless, so why should they do anything differently?

Its pretty simple, the average consumer is intrigued by the casual nature of the console. You see the ads for it its not about games so much as its about the things you can do with the Kinect+Interface.

I could see if this was the age even before gaming mags, but we know whats coming out. we know exactly what to expect. acting like we aren't on the edge of our seat at every opportunity to see or read about some type of reveal. we are not in the dark. consoles breh. nobody is blindly buying consoles.....
the way i figure it im gonna get 8 years of enjoyment out of my 400 bucks.. so i can either pay for that now or a year from now its still gonna be the same price... add to that... the last year of 360 all i played was halo 4 and nba 2k... and now all im gonna play is cod and nba 2k...
so its just a matter of paying for it now or later... and if i pay for it now i get better graphics on games that id be playing on the current gen

in general there's a rather large disconnect from those that closely follow this stuff, and the "average consumer"
