Honestly I don't get why the average consumer is buying the Xbox One or PS4 right now

Real talk,I'd rather have more gameplay than resolution. The lean functionality, the recording while you game. I wouldn't trade that for a slightly sharper image. Gameplay is king bruh :birdman:

nah breh you're not getting the best experience if you can't tilt your joystick or lean your head. apparently being on next gen consoles also automatically upgrade average franchises to great franchises

:heh: I can see dudes have no idea where I'm coming from

it's all good. you can find plenty of people that will agree everything's all good and couldn't be better
you don't owe next ten

next ten owners saying they're having fun

so whats the problem

is the 4th law of thermodynamics that video games will get better just because?

and I'm also probably one of the more frugal PC gamers here as well
I'm having a hard time grasping what you're getting at. I'm interpreting your message as "stop supporting mediocrity and rushed products because that's encouraging complacency!!" but then again how can people have a leg to stand on when they're not speaking from experience?? These reviewers aren't the ones writing online in forums or voicing their concerns on twitter, it's the fans who's played them. IGN, Polygon, Giantbomb, Sessler or w/e aren't going to be playing Killzone or Killer Instinct, Battlefield or w/e months later to discuss what can be done to make the game better. Some things like Crashfield 4 always crashing should be priority but then again no one really would've known had they not bought it.

Games get better from people forming opinions and sending that message to the devs after experiencing it. I know plenty of games that got better over time because of people complaining about the problems. Imagine if no one talked about the horrible screen tearing and microstutter from Bioshock Infinite PC at launch, imagine if no one spoke about the imbalances in several highly acclaimed MP games, what you think would happen?? I seen Uncharted 3's MP get revamped and balanced over a period of months due to a constant barrage of forum threads and posts on the site's message boards from fervid fans. One example is people buying UC3 and then saying it was a disappointment compared to UC2 yet if we just took the reviewers words, the game was supposed to have been perfect. Well after a year or more of harsh opprobrium, Naughty Dog admit they shouldn't have tried to get the game out in a year and they rushed it and they vowed to never do that again and that proved true with the release of TLOU.

I may come off as a stan a lot but when I play a game that I like and there's things wrong with it I criticize it A LOT, I just don't do it here for obvious reasons. I can write a laundry list of what to fix with the PS4 or Xbox One but again this isn't the place for that.

I agree not everything has to be actually played to know it's not welcomed(Day 1 on disc dlc, held back content, microtransactions etc.) but there has to be a line drawn somewhere. Someone's got to take the fall. I'll be honest, I played Knack and i'm on the 9th chapter and I swear to you I cannot find the strength in me to continue on in that game. I think it has some good in it but there's far too many things in it that I don't like that had I not played it I wouldn't have known.

Now that I played most of it, I can go and talk about the game and ask for things that I didn't like to be improved upon or removed so as to make a better game if they make a sequel because I think it deserves another one. Simply scoffing at the game and saying it sucks without having tried it to formulate my own thoughts and giving advice on how to better it helps no one.

serious question though is dead rising 3 vastly different from 1 and 2? i'm not talking visually, i'm talking gameplay wise is it different? i've played both 1 & 2 and both are fun but by the end of the game that shyt was meh. imo the dead rising series is like infamous series, fun but very average games....

The mechanics are similar, but the move to open world changes up the gameplay. And they did better with the story/production aspects of the game.

yeah, that is what bothered me the most about dead rising 2. that shyt was all types of corny to me. i mean as long as the story is solid i can get over bad or repetitive gameplay.

Its not the same thing bruh. Totally different. One creates immersion, the other is just a feature on a keyboard :scusthov:
When you are being pinned down, there is NOTHING like holding zoom and actually leaning to a side.
Then if they see you and start popping off? You gotta lean back to avoid getting hit (like in real life)
It makes those types of situations more intense, something that cannot be duplicated via a key press :rudy:

That adds to the GAMEPLAY, and that is the reason why we play these games. Gameplay.
Because you have a more powerful PC, people in that position like to overlook stuff, then yell resolution.
fukk a resolution, I'm sitting on my couch, farther than the 4ft I'd need to be sitting to notice (Tru Story)
As for the record feature, once again, not the same. You nikkaz ain't sharing clips :heh:
Haven't seen a single post about it, just a few of you saying you "can do it"
How the fukk, if you in the middle of a match. And shyt is getting thick, how you gonna have time to pres F11 or whatever it is? One hand on the keyboard, one on the mouse. You not easily pressing F-anything
You would essentially have to put yourself at risk, then what is the point since you guys don't do that on PC
Like, you don't have the set up to make it worth while to do so. I don't have to worry about where a button is, don't have to interrupt my session. Its speak it while I freak it :blessed:

Bruh, you clearly are salty now :laff:
For those not in the know, I informed this guy about the LEAN features back in May
He said it wasn't so.. sounds good, but wouldn't be ready for launch. I told him :usure:
Now its here, and you wanna hate after you acted all interested back then?

Bruh, I have an uncanny memory. So I know WHY you mad now :ufury2:

Yeah. You can tell they got some real actors and actually tried this time. Also the flow of the game is more "cinematic"

breh you can pull up the quotes if you want to. your memory is obviously shytty because i said until they (dice) announced it was just speculation and rumor. not that it wouldn't be ready. it's interesting but it's not fukking :blessed: especially since the lean function can be done without the camera on the ps4. :usure: now pull up the quote.

i don't see the point unless they don't have alot of games for the last generation of systems. i have so many games left on the ps3 that i haven't even touched yet. on top of that, history has shown that they will improve the console reliability past their launch date. plus, i own enough fps and racing games. give me some new ip's, or at least platformers/adventure games and rpg's. the graphics aren't enough for me to make the jump yet either. i'll be waiting awhile. some people just feel like they need to have the newest stuff all the time. i'll be patient and wait til there's more there to offer for me.
the money isn't an issue. i just feel like it isn't worth it yet honestly.

my favorite reviewers are Yahtzee and Totalbiscuit

I've been kinda dragged along here with what I meant to be a counterpoint to someone buying both consoles at launch. I'm sure there were some reasons you chose to not buy an Xbox One

there is something reasonable in between blind faith, and my more extreme consumer advocacy. but I do feel people kinda half ass their consumer advocacy. one minute EA the "worst company" and then everyone goes out and supports all their games

Not really. Its not human nature to act on impulses and be irresponsible. Human nature is self preservation and reproduction.

I bought both because I'm a fool and I know it. I'm the same idiot that bought a $1500 55 in TV and 3 months later bought another $1500 46 in TV then three months after that spend $1700 on a third 55 in TV just to sit it next to the first one. mind you i already had a 32 and 42 in before I started buying the other ones so I'm the dumb ass in a one bedroom with 5 TVs. Had to sell the 32 and the 42 on CL for peanuts just to get rid of them.

so yeah I'm a known dumb ass. that's my excuse but when I look at these systems with a rational mind buying them becomes a joke.
So you're a dumb ass, but you want to criticize the dumb ass moves of others? :mjpls:

Yea several reasons. Price, games and overall value to me doesn't make it worth purchasing. I may get one in the future when it's significantly cheaper with a great exclusive library but as of now I have enough on my plate.

As for consumer advocacy, all that is thrown out the window once release date nears for the games consumers once advocated for. I'm sure things like "I'm sure they got it right this time for crying out loud!" goes through some people's head.
