Honestly I don't get why the average consumer is buying the Xbox One or PS4 right now

Me? I'm a tech geek. I buy tech gadgets just for the hell of buying them almost on impulse. I waste a lot of money buying dumb shyt I don't need.

For the average consumer that's not a tech geek what do they see in these devices that justifies the feverish way they've been buying them? Honestly most of the games on them are previous generation titles. Sure they look a bit better but if I was a regular adult with responsibilities, a family, major bills, or whatever I couldn't possibly see blowing that kinda money on either of these things when there's no real value in owning either right now.

The PS4 has like 8 scheduled titles for the next 10 months.

The Xbox One has 7.

in comparison in the same time frame the Xbox 360 has 15

the PS3 has 20

granted more titles will eventually come but for the immediate foreseeable future there's just nothing worth spending money on.

wow talk about anemic upcoming game releases...i can understand from a developers point of view to put stuff on the systems that have a bigger user base but you need system sellers to sell systems

i might just fukk around and get a wii u and upgrade my pc fukk these expensive tech demo systems

This, my breh, is human nature, and explains everything you asked.
Not really. Its not human nature to act on impulses and be irresponsible. Human nature is self preservation and reproduction.

I bought both because I'm a fool and I know it. I'm the same idiot that bought a $1500 55 in TV and 3 months later bought another $1500 46 in TV then three months after that spend $1700 on a third 55 in TV just to sit it next to the first one. mind you i already had a 32 and 42 in before I started buying the other ones so I'm the dumb ass in a one bedroom with 5 TVs. Had to sell the 32 and the 42 on CL for peanuts just to get rid of them.

so yeah I'm a known dumb ass. that's my excuse but when I look at these systems with a rational mind buying them becomes a joke.

It's the same thing with every major electronic release... it's all about having the newest toy you can play with. You have to remember, the PS360 came out in 05' 06' so nikkas were thirstin for new systems for a long time. Seven-eight year console cycles is an anomaly as we're used around five to six so can you blame people for going out and buying new systems right away?

:heh: it's hilarious watching the fanboys argue and call the rival console the waitstation or the larrybox when, as of right now, both consoles have a miniscule amount of hype worthy games that have confirmed release dates for 2014.

I think we might see some suicides if Infamous doesn't live up to the hype :troll:

It was a much bigger difference graphics wise with hd in 2005... Im not impressed with the graphical leap and there are no new game experiences

lol, humans are the most impulsive, irresponsible creatures on this planet, breh.

When you look at consumerism with a rational mind, you'll find the entire concept is a joke. One that we're all falling for, playing along with and laughing at.
