Hotel vs. Airbnb

For those who travel, what is your preferred method of lodging? I'm in the process of booking a few trips and am weighing my options. I do like hotels because if something goes wrong, staff is on standby whereas you may be SOL with an AirBNB. I'm leaning towards AirBNB because of price and location to and from the venues. Any recommendations?

Cant go wrong with air bnb especially if u solo... hotels is pricey af tor service n anemities u hardly use.

Imo, hotels are better if you want the benefit of privacy and general accommodation from staff as you alluded to. You also have the whole pool/breakfast bar/ etc.

If I'm feeling like I want some socializing opportunity I'd go for air bnb. Only done it a few times myself, but even if you don't have a shared house or unit, I've noticed you end up talking and having to interact with others.

But personally... a dope boutique hotel in any city beats both options

or just eat fast food

i choose air bnb

I’m new to the world of AirBnB but so far I’m loving it.

I haven’t gotten brave enough to stay with a white host yet though. All of mine have been Black so far

i got a airbnb in the same property in vegas (signature MGM) where "hotel" units where $80 per night

I can always find hotels cheaper

i sometimes do. but only when im traveling by myself or one other person. if your ever with a larger group hotels can never compete

Stayed in a beautiful Airbnb in Hawaii last month....

I'd still do a hotel depending on the location tho...

i like airbnb cause there's a kitchen and I can cook breakfast, also usually bigger for about the same price as a hotel

I prefer hotels because it’s more sanitary. Airbnb they may or may not clean adequately. I know some Airbnb owners that wouldn’t even change sheets in between guests. At least a hotel you can demand a proper cleaning.
