A hotel in the Japanese city of Kyoto allegedly canceled an Israeli tourist’s reservation because of “war crimes,” drawing criticism from local officials who said it violated regulations.

This happened back in June and it was a low level employee who sent the message. It is illegal to deny hotels based on race or religion in Japan and the hotel was reprimanded by the city. No other such incidents reported.
