I know a lot of us live in the US so we have a vested interest in what happens here. At the same time I've been thinking, at some point it feels like you're constantly trying to stop these cacs from putting the gun in their mouths because you're a minority and their minds are poisoned by Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh. Why try to save these people from themselves? May be time to just bounce and let these people wallow in their stupidity.

That would be an absolutely terrible idea. The people just realized what insurance actually is - after paying for health insurance all of their adult lives. The last thing you want to do is throw more on their plate. You campaign on never having submitted a bill that would gut 14million ppl off of healthcare. You campaign off of the reality that you are the only party to get it right.

You don't campaign on any additional proposals. Don't create a target for the republicans to hit you on.

I hear ya, but how can democrats come up with a plan worse than throwing 14 mill off of healthcare? I mean the bar is so low that if the republicans were to attack such a plan, how can it be so bad that it would look worse than republican's in contrast?

I say all the above however when I know and I'm sure you're hinting at, that the average republican voter isn't ever going to make that sort of determination or have that type of thought process. They will simply parrot what republicans tell them to parrot at the end of the day. So in that case, damn you're right :mjcry:

the democrats couldn't produce a plan to the right of Obamacare. Therefore they're only left with medicare for all or single payer. The country is not ready for that. Too many dumb dumbs voting for both political parties.

Cause it's our country too. I'm tired of these right wing fukks thinking they have ownership of this country.....either they :camby: or they learn to share ownership with everyone else. We ain't going nowhere especially after all the lives and blood African and other people have spent to make this country what it is.

Sadly, Democrats seem purely reactive.

Here is what I would do:
  • Come up with an alternative like you said and I don't know what the procedure is, but if the CBO has the ability to review it, let them do so.
  • At the same time, the DNC should be spending money to run ads in these shyt towns in Rural america where these cacs are about to lose their care and show Trump saying "cover everyone" along with the CBO numbers. Then present the democrat plans.
Yet, democrats at this point are only on focused on attacking the plan but not saying what they would do different.
Attacking ACA worked out great for the GOP :yeshrug:

That's honestly my plan. After I graduate I'm trying to get out of here quick as possible.
