Trust us. You've been a good new member. Now it's time to get this money.

It only takes a 2/3 vote to get troublemakers out. Too much power in the East to be worried about Texas.

Georgia and Florida together by themselves is more in population than Texas.

LOL, Texas bring in too much money to get voted out.:heh:

Texas is going to start slinging its weight soon enough when a new contract comes up in 10 years. :heh:

They're going to have little brother Oklahoma to back them up as well.

They're not leaving the SEC. It doesn't make geographical sense. Travel is more expensive and harder on students, and more importantly, parents.

It would be easier for Mizzou, but they ain't leaving either, even if the B1G comes calling! They missed that boat when they turned them down when Nebraska got in and denied them. It makes more sense for Mizzou to be in the B1G.

no reason for b1g to add mizzou tho , they only care about market share

This shyt was a leak in order for A&M to get a lobby and get sympathy for votes to keep OU & Texas out....

And it's looking like Missouri & LSU may be on board with "NO" notes.

Agreed.

A&M = they don't want Texas getting their mojo back. Aggies have pulled some ballers simply by being an SEC school. Austin vs College Station if both are in the SEC? Most brehs are choosing Austin.

LSU = They aren't "scared" of Texas but they understand the implications. Texas and Louisiana produce insane amounts of talent. Shyt just Dallas alone or Houston alone could build a great squad. LSU knows that if it's Texas vs LSU vs A&M, they might lose out on some elite talent more frequently. Selling a Houston or Dallas kid on Austin vs Baton Rouge is a lot different than College Station vs Baton Rouge.

Mizzou = probably just sour grapes.

Nebraska used to abuse the old Big 8 except for Oklahoma. They had those partial qualifier exemptions so they could recruit Florida, Texas etc., and grab brehs that could not get in academically at Florida, UT Austin etc. That allowed them to build a powerhouse.

When the SWC and Big 8 merged, Texas said "y'all nikkas need to up those admissions standards." Every school was cool with it except Nebraska.....they HATED Nebraska so they sided with Texas to fukk over the Huskers. Soon, UT and OU began to dominate and then the old Big 8 schools started backing up.

Colorado and Nebraska were elite when the Big 12 formed in '96 but were both significantly weaker when they left. A&M has always been middling but they were good in the 80s, 90s and early 00s. Missouri used to get abused by Nebraska and Oklahoma so I don't know why they even care except for recruiting.

You keep saying that but you have a Georgia fanbase who hasn’t celebrated a championship in over 40 years always acting a fool

Why on earth would they possibly be mad?

Now they can recruit and not have to deal with this "sec sec sec" being used against them.
For OU yes. For texas? New coach, a ton of unmet expectations. When A&M went in, it was nothing to lose and a lot to gain. Then got lightning in a bottle with JM.

Honestly, A&M should just embrace it, because NIL has changed everything anyway. Better now than later. They have momentum being 10 years deep into this & Jimbo has recruited. Who know what this will look like in another 15 years.

Because it's a much harder conference and path to the playoff. As an OU fan are you as confident as winning the SEC and getting into the playoff as many times as OU has won the Big 12?

We're not delusional in thinking that OU is going to dominate the SEC like we have the Big XII, but we're not going to become "mid majors" either. We will be able to compete. We have built in competitive advantages that will be maintained and, honestly, strengthened by coming to the SEC. It was common sense for OU to come to the SEC, but this was calculated too.
