Different scenarios tbh. Those colleges were synonymous with the Big East brand. The move to ACC hurt their recruiting in the northeast.

Oklahoma and Texas are their own brand and have big money backing them from their own donors or TV Network (Texas). This will only help them in their recruiting. They're losing too many players from their region who want to be in the SEC.

Texas and Oklahoma knew they were going to do that, that's why they didn't want them to know. Well, whatever. SEC office will stay in Birmingham and the schools that have been here for 90 years will stick together on decisions. It only takes a 2/3 decision to kick a school out of the conference if somebody wants to get uppity. You are in danger new blood.

They would have to revamp that SEC East and West alignment. Alabama at a minimum would need to be in the east, probably Alabama and Auburn.
