Mizzou makes WAY more sense in the Big Ten. Mizzou has ready make rivalry with Illinois and to a lesser extent Iowa and Nebraska, instead of that made up shyt SEC been pushing with Arkansas. STL is a top 20 and KC a top 40 market to add, more than most other markets the Big Ten would be likely to add with other schools. Plus for Mizzou, Big Ten pays out more than the SEC.
Seeing rumblings on message boards from aTm, OU and KU about them making the jump.

Texas vs Arkansas

Texas vs Oklahoma

Texas vs A&M

Is Auburn/Bama the 4th best rivalry in the conference now?
Everyone alr clowned this post, but I think it actually is a positive for these rivalries that do have true animosity to get the spotlight that the SEC provides. RR rivalry is obviously major, but those other two wouldn’t have much relevancy to people outside of that region

OU didn't leave until TX wanted it.
You are uninformed.

OU has been tired of playing 11am games now for years, and the big 12 refuses to do anything about it with Fox. The final straw was the Nebraska game this year being at 11am. Our AD was pissed.

11am games gets less eyes, you can't get recruits there as easily which hurts recruiting and other factors which hurt programs playing in undesirable time slots EVERY week

Always funny to see people new to Texas think this school really cares about football. We would be mediocre at best in the SEC. Money people are faR more invested in the medical school, and gaining influence in the state capital.

Well you fool SEC schools when you try to get into the conference and hire a Saban assistant coach as your head coach.

But that's good to know.:mjlit:

Will it really? Outside of us, no one has better cache and access to bball talent and they’ve made no strides

OU is a solid basketball program, Texas hasn’t been too hot recently but they’ve had good years as well, add that to Kentucky, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Florida? It can only help the SEC.

Herrings. Has nothing to do with going at it alone. Why did yall need TX for this? I used to stand up for OU but it's obvious their name is a big part of the Sooner identity

KU to the B10!!!! Finally bring some prestige to your conferences hoops program @smitty22
Would definitely be a big boost basketball wise for the conference. Id be ok with KU, Mizzou, and Iowa St joining. Prolly need to find 1 more school that makes sense.

Again, you are uninformed. The previous govt administration in Oklahoma always made it to where Oklahoma can't go anywhere without taking Oklahoma State.
The big brother has to take the little brother and no SEC move was really possible taking Ok St. Now, for whatever reason that's no longer a requirement.

Texas vs Texas a&m is a rivalry but it's not OU vs TX level. This is about money. So yeah y'all can separate from Texas, but OU/TX is major money. Both schools know that

In the end, this whole move is about money.

What does any of that have to do with aligning with TX? All that is documented. They'll always have it over your head that yall couldn't pull this without them. Yall hate each other so much, yall buddies up on this?? OU didn't have the spine to leave without TX in this go round. What's crazier is, OU had all the leverage. (Leave TX & still force the RR). With no true rivalry game they would've had to do it

Literally nobody, not even Texas fans, are saying this. Because that's not the way it went down. Go do some research on what went down.

Or, just believe what you want tho, aggie. :hubie:
