They have a fairly storied rivalry with Texas, have a couple notable games with OU and obviously has history with A&M. They're a familiar connection for those Big 12 schools, and I would say that's led to some great games with TAMU this decade. I don't see how they could be in the same lane as Kansas State just off the strength of who they're connected withI would think OSU, between the Rose Bowl's history and remaining the marquee name in whatever conference they ultimately end up in, would prefer a Pac 12/Big 12 merger, but who knows
. Michigan would be better off following whatever OSU chooses and I know their fans don't wanna hear that 
I think FSU would take whatever avenue gives them the most money and keeps the Florida rivalries as a possibility and Clemson is Clemson shyt would be hard though
Whether we beat they ass in the B1G or SEC makes no difference to me.
Arky and UT are rivals. Same with Arky and A&M. This goes back to the SWC days.

That I know. I’m questioning the relevance of it. Excuse my recency bias but I think of aTm, OU, or Nebraska before I even think of Arkansas

I can see why you say Nebraska because it’s more recent and they had classic games as well. But if you ask most older Texas fans, Arkansas is right up there with behind OU and just about on par with A&M. That said, it’s an age thing. Most younger Texas fans would say Arkansas is no longer a rival. When I say younger, I mean those under 40.

With Texas and OU going to the $EC I think it’s going to be a bidding war for the B1G when the tv deal is done FOX might spend $$$$ to get the rights to B1G ten football

Exactly, a lot of us came up in the post-SWC era. We came up in the BCS/BigXII era. I became a horns fan in the Ricky Williams-Major Applewhite era. So a lot of the pre-BigXII history and the classic rivalry between Texas and Arkansas has been long forgotten by many or not remembered by the younger ppl like myself.
'22 is being discussed with '23 being the latest. No one is playing in a conference that is a dead man walking for more than 2 years.

Take the best 32 teams create their own league similiar to the nfl play 14 game schedule and playoffs and create divisions
