Breh it’s not about Rutgers alumni :snoop: Rutgers was the closest school to the NYC market with the NYC market the big ten got the biggest tv deal and it will be bigger in 2023 a lot of big ten alumni move to NYC after College it was important for the big ten to add Rutgers and Maryland for the NYC and DC tv market for media deals to cash out and Expand the big ten network to the NYC and DC market Iowa state and Kansas won’t add anything to media deals

Better picking up schools than have your schools picked.

We’ll be waiting for you and Michigan’s joint statement in about 5 years about exploring options and leaving the Big 10 to join the SEC’s North division

You won’t be able to hide from big brother UGA no more after that
You do know if that does happens, you SEC boys got to come north to play ball in November and December :mjlit: . Won’t be able to hide anymore :demonic: .

Memphis and WVa are damn near on par as far as academic ranking. UCF is on the bottom half of the 100s. None of them gives them access to areas that they already aren't in
West VA is the bigger "get" football wise out of all of the schools I listed.

WV and ND would be my picks

I agree i miss the old days when college football conferences was regional I miss watching Oklahoma vs Nebraska, Colorado vs Nebraska on Black Friday I miss watching Notre Dame playing Michigan, Michigan State and Purdue but money talks it is what is :yeshrug:

I feel what you saying, I grew up on the ACC being strictly coastal states, Big Ten being strictly Midwestern, SEC strictly southern, Big 12 being strictly plains, and the Pac-10 being strictly west coast.

Regions means just about as much to conferences as it does to Hip Hop now, which is close to meaningless.

I remember when I had bootleg cable and was watching ESPN gameplan :wow: that’s when the big 12 had the game of the week every week on ABC My squad ND was :trash: and I stayed in the big ten area so it was either a Ohio state or a Michigan game damn I miss those days:mjcry:

I wonder if USC will look at their situation and think they are sitting on an island right now.

But yeah, I miss College Football being regional as well. Like I have said plenty of times, I think conferences should be no more than 10. You play everyone in the conference every year and rivalries do not have to disappear. Nebraska and OU would have played every year. Nebraska and Texas would have played every year which could have become a new rivalry. But there is lots of college football i miss. Such as New Years Day bowls. That's the number one thing I miss the most. It has been destroyed sadly. Waking up watching the rose bowl parade and then half a dozen football games after that.

You understand Alabama's quarterback is already there. I'm sure there are others that are not saying what they make close to a million or more. There's a lot of deep pockets in different places. CEO of APPLE is an Auburn grad. Florida of course is deep. Georgia. Ohio State. many others. I think the NIL just separated those willing to pay from those not.

OkSt gonna be alright. Not ideal but shyt could be a lot worse. Bedlam might really be done tho depending on the new pres. This put her in a terrible position right from jump

i always wondered if OSU would be a bigger brand if they were in a different conference then OU. They’re always generally a very solid program. Hell they might be as viewed as the most desirable program after TX & OU. I always felt A&M’s profile raised once they got away from Texas.
