One of the biggest myths about the SEC is that it is a good football conference top to bottom. It's really top heavy with Bama +(insert hot team) year to year, and everyone else is really just middling to bad.
Oh most definitely...but that old oil money is differentYou understand Alabama's quarterback is already there. I'm sure there are others that are not saying what they make close to a million or more. There's a lot of deep pockets in different places. CEO of APPLE is an Auburn grad. Florida of course is deep. Georgia. Ohio State. many others. I think the NIL just separated those willing to pay from those not.

Some people just post for attention. Recruiting, NY6 bowls and the NFL Draft proves it's the best conference bar none. One of the biggest myths about the SEC is that it is a good football conference top to bottom. Doesn’t really matter it’s still the best football conference
none of this is true
From recruiting to drafted NFL players to overall level of teams the SEC is easily the best conference in college football. Texas will be lucky to be as consistently good as an Auburn and OU is gonna need a defense to bang with us (UGA), Florida or LSU consistently

what is this post??my man you buggin.![]()
None of these responses goes against anything I said. I never said it wasn't the best conference, never said they don't go to NY6 bowls or get players drafted. I said it's top heavy which it is. The entire conference is damn near riding bamas coattails and a lot of the time teams do get the benefit of the doubt in rankings because "SEC".
@AVXL Texas already "banged" with Georgia and based on the last 2 years the entire conference "needs a defense". Texas also played LSU better than any other SEC team the year LSU won the championship. I get it that a lot of you are casual fans but I would think y'all would have learned your lesson after A&M and Missouri didn't struggle early on in the SEC. But keep on beating your SEC chest, we'll see how this goes.
Trask went toe to toe with them in Baton Rouge. I doubt OU or UT will have the strength to navigate a typical Florida October (UGA/LSU every season and a random SEC west foe) which has included 3 top 10 teams in the past. Plus if you take out Bama it's still the best conference.None of these responses goes against anything I said.
