Dude's nickname is 7 win sark and he buckled under the pressure at USC so bad that he was hitting the bottle every chance he got. What you think gonna happen when he lose to OU or TCU this season and them Texas boosters start getting in his ass over it? :usure:
Then Texas will move on if he fails. It is what it is. If he beats OU or TCU, will it show he's on the right track?

You ain’t think they were mid when you first hired them the same enthusiasm y’all have for Shark right now was the same for Herman 4 years ago

What is this post even supposed to mean? Of course the expectation was that he would deliver but many of us saw the issues after year 1. People are excited about Sark but a lot of us are in wait and see mode. As @Spade mentioned both Charlie and Herman were allowed to hire their G5 staff at UT. Sark has a much better staff top to bottom and the team itself has a lot more talent than before. Just a small improvement in coaching and Texas is back to being a routine 10 win team.

Beating OU will for sure. That’s the standard for the conference.

And although I still think Gary Patterson is one of the best coaches in the game and for sure a better head coach than Sark, He better get over that hump for sure.

Many Texas fans saw it even in January of 2014 (Strong) and January 2017 (Herman). That’s why many fans were really paying attention to what Sark coaching staff was going to be like.

LOL. How many conference championships do they have?
How many does anyone really have since 2010 outside of Bama?

Bama- 6
Auburn- 2
LSU- 2
Georgia- 1

Your conference mystique is what it is because of Alabama. Look what happened when the conference had to play 9 conference games :skip:. None of the rest of you scare anybody on a year to year basis.

Nah, he had built OSU at the time so the transition was a lot smoother. Florida was a "broken program" when Urban left, literally in shambles. The lack of continuity and leadership in the coaching staff just fukked over UF.

Nah.

Mizzou benefited from UF and UGA going through turmoil - they haven't sniffed the SECCG since 2014 and are totally irrelevant in the east. These aren't the tea leaves you want to read - UGA recruits at an elite level now and Florida has been good under Mullen. Since Mizzou has been in the East they have won 0 championships, OU and Texas (:mjlol:) aren't going to leapfrog the established powers unless you're saying they'll beat Alabama.

UF, UGA, A&M and LSU are in a tier below Alabama and their seasons will ride on being able to beat them - Oklahoma will fit right in there in all likelihood.
UF and UGA have benefitted from literally everyone in that division being terrible, I don't understand this logic you're using lol. Florida and Georgia both have more talent than Missouri when they were making those conference championships. UGA was top 6 coming into the 2013 season and was coming off a last-second loss to Alabama who won by 40 in the natty :mjlol: Georgia and Florida are better than they were then, but these teams are substantially worse than they were back then, except Kentucky. Georgia was finishing in the top 10 talent and rankings wise annually in the early 10s, and getting their ass smacked by SCar almost every year and narrowly winning over UTK (TENNESSEE!) annually. But Oklahoma, arguably the best offensive machine schematically in CFB since Riley's hire, no chance in hell at taking over that division if they were to get in. :snooze:
Florida also stinks. This is ridiculous agenda pushing

I think his coaching will be fine since he can primarily worry only about the offense. Our DC hire wasn't a splash name but he is a top DC. And we have the talent, coaching has been the bigger issue. In the last 2 years are so we were routinely losing games by a TD or less. Texas isn't as far off as people think.
If he can still be a schematic positive and they get back to being top 10 annually in talent, they can easily finish top 5 in the SEC bare minimum. A&M just went what, 11-1? With that archaic ass offense and Kellen Mond?????? Georgia is going around losing to USC and struggling against dog shyt Kentucky, losing by 30 to Alabama....I don't see what the hell the second tier of SEC teams are accomplishing that UT can't :deadmanny:

OU has never been scared to play good teams outside of the Big 12 either. They get good talent as well. They'll be fine.

Texas has been mid tier for a while even in the current B12....that's not good.
That's fair, I don't think UT has had even mid tier coaching in their conference since the turn of last decade though IMO. It's all dependent on how Sark plays out. Herman, that bootleg version of the JT OSU offense and Ehlinger shouldn't be a top tier program!
