Sengun and eventually FVV were the reasons the Rockets were able to force a game 7. Sengun was easily the most consistent guy for us during the playoffs, despite his flaws. Saying he was as bad as Jalen is totally false by stats and the eye test.

GSW said after game 7 their defensive goal and strategy was to never let Jalen go off. They were content with letting Sengun be the guy because his low percentage twos were never goin to beat them. That’s why Kerr was so smug and disrespectful in his huddle. Draymond, Moody and and Kerr all said that. Kerr said the tape
Showed that the most dangerous version of the rockets was when Jalen was allowed to be dynamic. They weren’t afraid of brooks threes, Amens intangibles, or Sengun 2’s. GOAT broke it down between game 6 and 7 that the goal for GSW through out the series was to make life as difficult as possible for Green. I think Green helped them do that.

With that said you have to retool. Sengun was terrible this series. He was jsut as bad as Jalen . His ts was worse than Jalen’s. And Jalen was terrible so that says a lot about Sengun play.

I would trade either personally. I would upgrade the other spots around. Upgrade from FVV and upgrade from Brooks. Brooks was the main reason that Hield went off. he wasn’t respecting his shot. His close outs were slow late and erratic.

Replace FVV with Coby White, and Brooks with Cam Johnson. Sign Grimes
All this you could figure out just by watching one quarter of game one

I even commented on it

People in this thread are just green haters who don’t have basketball IQ

Mind you, Warriors have the best defense in the nba since getting jimmy

Jalen green did good considering all this and it being his first playoff appearance and being on a young inexperienced team

He played good defense got more rebounds
moved the ball and was a “decoy” in the limited minutes he played

But as far as helping the offense it’s nothing much more he could do without forcing the issue and going ISO against double teams just to score

That’s why he didn’t score

And also I’d say the physicality and Draymond did have him a little scared

Would y’all want to trade Reed Sheppard, Dillon Brooks, Cam Whitemore, and Houston’s picks y’all got from Brooklyn (#10 in this draft, unprotected Houston 1st round pick in 2027) for KD?

Glad we were able to keep Adams
Hey was more key and clutch to our success than a lot of people realize. He completely locked down the glass paired with Alpi to give our offense second chance points and defensive boards which would’ve gotten us to the WCF we just drew the wrong team in Our nemesis.

They are a shell of themselves and again, all the focus needs to be on how much of a waste Green is for others development and offensive liability, I knew we weren't there yet but we will NEVER do anything big with him.
Not to say he won't grow into a great player. I mean, I believe he has so much feminine energy, he just needs to be traded, and the focus of his/her growth as a player will be revenge

I don't believe in KD like that. Not at 37-38 and how volatile he is if things go south.

He is efficient but also a ball stopper and drifter when he's not shooting, which means our offense would just turn into him trying to iso against loaded defenses and then reverting to the same forced Sengun ish when KD is on the bench or inevitably injured from overuse by Ime.

It's a copycat league and when you look at the top 3-4 teams (OKC, IND, NYK, DEN), I don't think Fred can be your primary ball handler on a serious contender. Even with MIN, Ant handles the ball far more than Conley. Tatum, moreso than Jrue. Right now we just don't have a dynamic scorer who can also run the offense./generate good looks. And i dunno where we get one.

37 years old KD ain't worth all that
I’m leaning towards this. As much as I was in awe of seeing KD in person this year, age most def has to be taken into consideration, and you can’t pillage your team for him.

Love Adams being re-signed. Lakers fans thought they were gonna swoop in and get him :laff:

if he's not on your roster already, might have to hit the well again at #10 to find him. That's where Carter Bryant might come into play.

What will be interesting is that by all star break, Amen will be 23. Same age Tatum led BOS to the ‘22 Finals, that Trae (‘21) and Ant (‘24) led their teams to CFs, that Ja led his team to the ‘22 WCSFs.

By 23, no later than 24 (Kawhi, Shai) you know if you have that guy.l, going by recent history.

Not saying Amen has to be that good, but if it’s not him (and if it is, we should see it next season), then we don’t have that guy.

Teams gave up too early on Shai and look at him now. It’s too early in his career.
