i dont really know these two artists like that but this is not really unusual...
big daddy kane dropped his first and probably best albums when he was 19 i believe. nas dropped his first and probably best album when he was 19 i believe.
most modern rappers are not really aiming to drop dope rhymes by any definition. they are aiming to drop catchy common denominator rhymes... as such not really unexpected that a young dude who is putting thought into his rhymes actually is going to be better than them.
