:russ:Noooooooooooope. A year at Xsport with a lot of turnover showed me that most of the personal trainers were merely average physiques, with the occasional
"I used to play football in HS" looking dude. The most conditioned people were the patrons, not the trainers. A higher end gym where the clientele is more well off may
have them, but most regular gyms will have old coaches or runners with little musculature doing the training, or at best some barrel-bellied breh who would be a beast
if he went on a 6-month cut.

Most of the really in shape trainers go to higher end gyms and get booed up by single women expeditiously.

Also they end up starting their own private training gigs. Why split the money with the gym?

Personal trainer is a great hustle for brehs that are in shape and have drive. You can come up.

I wouldn't call it booed up more like being an escort/counselor

Most trainers I've seen have a certain speciality.

Like you'll have a skinny ass dude tryna show you powerlifting techniques. He can't lift for shyt, but dude can run a 5k in 16 minutes and dunk a basketball at 5'9" with no running start. You gotta figure out if what they're good at matches up with your goals. Don't ask some Snacks Harrison-looking nikka about getting an 8-pack.

I remember a couple times when I was recovering from dislocated shoulders so I lost my muscle after not lifting for like 6 months and I would go to the gyms. I do specific exercises for certain parts of my body and these dudes who barely look like they lifted would try to tell me you're doing the wrong thing i guess outa gym policies. Im like Im not doing that exercise gtfo out my face I been liftin since I was 15 I know wtf im doin, I studied this shyt since a youngin and as an ex athlete.

But I also met some good trainers who look like shyt but they know they stuff, they just dont have the genetics or work ethic but they know what they talkin about.

You definitely shouldn't be overweight/obese training people but most trainers aren't brolic and don't need to be. The average client just wants to lose weight. You don't gotta look like the Rock to help them do that.

I'm not trying to cap at all rn. I gym at Equinox been there damn there a year and op is spot on. Some personal trainers of course are in shape but majority look like they need more personal training themselves (and most personal trainers do have their own trainer) I've seen :flabbynsick: old head yts train people here Filipino flabby muscle nikkas that you could obtain working in construction or ups and the most shocking was this one cac was working in the spa giving facials and shyt 3 months later this nikka a trainer :martin: and this shyt expensive 110-140 per session. Can't do it not just for personal training she better smash after he first session or two
