I have heard horror stories of how bad that time was. My pops and mom came to NYC in the 80s and they said New York was a warzone during the crack era. My pops seen nikkas get shot in the Bronx when he was delivery man. Told me that Brownsville and ENY was off limits. Said Queens was:damn: just like Brooklyn. I was born in 91 so i grew up when the crack era was dying down. So how bad was it in your town or when you was growing up at the time. What sad,and horrible stories you heard or what you saw at that time? A young nikka just want to know how devastating it was.

Yeah it was fukked up ...but In my opinion it's not as reckless and unpredictable as today's MOLLY/LEAN/INSTAGRAM generation

Unless you just happen to be caught in the crossfire or involved in that "life'

You were pretty much insulated from it

For one the rappers WERE NOT promoting it...we had lots of ANTI CRACK songs back then

Drug Dealers wasn't seen as the ICON they are now....trap stars?!?! Really

Most crackheads were older heads ....now you got lots of teens doing Molly and Lean

Also the street politics was different....

My brother who was deep in the game back then said drug dealing was about RELATIONSHIPS if you were cool with the connect or someone could vouch for you ..u got that work ..or even better on consignment aka credit

Now EVERYBODY GOTTA PAY....SHOP WITH THE PLUG.....

Cause the game is FLOODED with too many dealers and snitches

And the OGs are not there to provide Law and Order

A Mississippi Cotton Field
we had a pretty bad heroin problem here in the late 80s. not a lot of gun busting or nothing, though. bunch of small ass villages separated by 10 miles of roads and fields.

Either that or I was too young to actually know.

I DO remember one of my homies uncles having a picture on his wall, though. Where like him and 6 of his boys had gone out in the woods with pistols and hunting rifles and killed some dude in front of a mobile home/trailer and were posing around his body like they had just killed a deer. None of his family acted like there was anything wrong with it and I never asked.

He other uncle was one of the biggest dealers in the area in the 80s. But he went to Illinois and got in over his head and they came back here and moped him out.

I was all over Illinois in 94 and 95, though. That shyt was crazy.

I had to come back to Mississippi in 96. I tell people that whenever there was a bad crack problem somewhere else, Mississippi would have a black tar heroin boom. Fresh from Louisiana. The shyt never fails.

Brooklyn in the 80s/90s :mjcry:

My generation was the crack baby generation. Its why I shake my head when a lot of y'all fakkits start talking shyt about hoodrats and single moms cause I'm sure most of y'all sheltered pussies never seen the results of it. The crack epidemic was probably the most destructive thing to happen to black people outside of slavery. I had friends who raised themselves because moms smoked out and they never met they pops cause he was a crack head too.

And all them dudes grew up to be the biggest savages too :wow:

I don't know how bad it was.
But I remember finding crack vials in the stairs of the building and outside on the grass.
I didn't really know they were crack vials at the time. I just saw they had different colored caps....green, red....and I would flick them like you would a paper football.

My mom used to scream at me not to touch that stuff.

Thankfully, every vial I came across was empty.
Glad I was in the suburbs and didn't grow up in the BX or Queens or the Heights like so many other latino families. It was pretty bad in the 1980s out there.
