The only rappers I take somewhat serious are the rappers who are trying to convey a messages or talking bout more than Money, Hoes, Cars.

The rest of these dudes might as well be WWE wrestlers. I get that its entertainment but damn these dude have no shame. and if anyone tries to critique or say anything bad about them the first thing they say is "We getting money" as if that is the only thing that matters. I remember when rappers wanted to be heard because they felt like they had something meaningfuly to say. Now they just want to say the same thing every other rapper is saying.

Hov's been calling this shyt WWE since after the next wave of disses after he and NaS finished. The parallels are even more apparent if you know the inner workings of wrestling. Hip Hop is so...blatantly coordinated.

That's really interesting. You got any links to interviews of him saying this? Not doubting, just wanna hear!

Twitter beef over broads?

Subliminal disses to make a buzz?

Child stars claiming they will kidnap someone's be'imah?

Is this the way the mainstream was supposed to evolve?

Yes and it will definitely get worse - it was better in the 90's when you didn't have so much access to the artist and you could just enjoy the music for what it is without your judgment being clouded because you found out that artist is actually a clown

yeah, it's not even the beefs that get me. It's just these dudes popping out of nowhere talking about getting down and they haven't par-taken in any of it.

Just can't get with most of it

Hov can't call shyt WWE. He's honestly one of the main reasons hip hop has gotten this way (And I'm a huge Jay fan). Not placing all the blame on him, but his consigns, to jumping on whatever trend it hot. To making it VERY popular to be a straight sell out. To him bragging about not writing shyt down. To a lot of his POPULAR music having no depth.

Not discrediting him in any way. He's great at what he dies, but many rappers after him saw his success, and mocked their career after his.

Dude really is the gift and the curse.

It's funny, with all that rappers did to get the genre respected, to only see it turn to shyt.
