I like "real rap" but not really into MF Doom, like the poster above said he's an acquired taste:yeshrug:

Just cause you like hip hop (even though Drake ain't) don't mean you gotta like every rapper that is lyrical or considered "real hip hop"

I know hip hop heads who like a lot of the same shyt I do, but they love MF Doom, I don't. I love Lloyd Banks and they don't. It is what it is.

Different eras

also "real" is subjective in this case so i think that's a bad way of introducing someone to something different. you're basically saying "everything you've listened to and all emotions you've felt up to this point are trash..." it's a personal insult even if you don't mean it that way

or maybe i'm just putting extras on it...:manny:

I feel like when the lifestyle he's living/ vibe he's in at whatever point in his life matches MF DOOM's music, he'll gravitate towards it himself. All you gotta do is introduce him to it and let it go from there, forcing it on him is like a vegan tryna shyt on someone that's eating ribs, people gotta go on their own journey

Everyone can't listen to DOOM. Drake is digested more easier.

Some of dooms beats are cringe and really boom bap and his flow is very unorthodox.

Drake is simple 808 here and there and a few pop tunes.

To each it's own though

I like both, one can still be eclectic in this day and age. I focus more on trying not to be a culture vulture and more on what sounds good to me.

Plus dat Beef Rap....
