Shoutout to @aaaaaaa for his black code thread and @Blackking for his black people do not respect black businesses.

I can't speak for everyone when I say this but the black culture has suffered through slavery and colonisation and things entirely of our own doing. We've been poisoned by others and ourselves and we are not quite right.

There may be willy lynchs' in today's society affecting how we act and think based on our circumstances. It may be programing through the media and how things happen there that set us off, it may be the police violence or in other ways. Actually let's make a list of how we as a black community are possibly undermined.

They may be some among us who like in the past when black people sold other black people into slavery, have sold out the others to profit on their own. ( situations like drug dealers) who we protect. Murderers (who we protect) and other criminals (personally I can't speak for what happens in the hood, I know dudes who i suspect have killed though but I personally wouldn't do something like that cause i wouldn't want that on my conscious) but i know some places where we black people live are equivalent of war zones. Unless it can no longer be one through long term action i see the same thing happening.

We can also list how we undermine ourselves here.

I'm wondering what solutions internally we can do to set up a way to guide the oceans of black people who will come after us. Are certain things we are doing in our code of conduct right now helping or hurting us?

I was actually thinking particularly about the no snitching thing. In kenya you find the somalis are in the predicament now where they've not been snitching about terrorists among them and they need to consider being vocal about it cause the killers have not represented them and are actually putting them in jeopardy. Doing things and actions that majority of Muslims don't approve of. In south africa they are killing people from other countries including somalis

In south africa they are killing somali people now. Burning them in the street. They are also killing nigerian who've gone there. People are not snitching about the people doing these acts. In Nigeria now boko haram is threatening south Africans to stop or they'll also begin violence.

I'm just saying this to show that things can fall apart easily because of the action of few. Things are falling apart in
black communities world wide

The only positive is no matter what evil transpires in the world the good people among us still March forward and have still survived because it's impossible to kill all our spirits, all our goals and all our dreams.

So i ask. Since there's all sorts of perspectives here and people who've lived this. Since we all live in different parts of black culture what can we do to reach that utopia. What guidelines should we follow. What realistic brand new codes can we have. What other things can we do to make our suffering less and our lives better as a people?

We need to learn our history and gain some pride in where we come from. We got no roots. Much a tree with no roots can be bufffeted back and forth by the wind we've been pushed back and forth by white supremacy. They've tricked us into believing in their "justice" system, their education system, their political system, and most ironically of all, their humanity. They've convinced us to hate ourselves and each other. They've broken our families up and split the genders into two hatefilled pieces of the same confused puzzle.

We're lost out here bro. Most people don't even care.

wtf are you saying, my nikka? take a breath.

I edited it with more spacing if that's what you mean. But I hope we go in direction of my meaning rather than how i wrote it out. Also im interested in individual as well as collective philosophy and solutions we should have. You can't do things without the entire society being in agreement

Pretty much every black person in the western hemisphere's roots begin after the slave trade. I don't hear anyone else saying they've got no roots

But you know we can establish roots now. If we as a group also have certain agreements. Black codes like @aaaaaaa mentioned earlier that we say this is what we will do. Historically these agreements and philosophies have moved people forward. We are also doing things to ourselves right now that if we were honest we can try and resolve internally.
The more organised we are the less chaotic things may be. There's the justice system that we don't agree with but within communities people have historically made minor agreements among themselves on what is acceptable and what isn't and the penalty for that.

I mean what community structure can we have. What sort of reprogramming of our mentality can take place? What rules and codes can we put in place. I'm sure there's old ones out there in place that can still continue. What are those ones? Which are the ones touted by our predecessors like malcolm and Martin and others? They must have given it some thought. Maybe what we need to do is out there but we do not know it is. So we do not know what to do

By uniting. Thats the only way black people will ever prosper. We make it easy for them to oppress us because we shyt on each other and build them up.

I think things will get better slowly, but it will be a while before black people wake up and reach utopia.

Best you can do is try to teach those around you. If you teach one person, and they teach another person, and that person teaches another person, and so on pretty soon all black people will be united.

I disagree. We were people long before that. Nobody lionizes the lowest point in their history expect black people.

I've never watched roots and I don't plan to. I'll watch an Egyptian or African documentary anyday but I stay away from that slave shyt.

We are most than just slaves. How can you expect a people to rise up when they're constantly being told their origin was being mistreated slaves of the white man.

If the white man was really ashamed of slavery like they pretend to be they would do their best to hide that part of history. They manage to do that just fine with the massacre of the Native Americans.

The constant repetition of the slavery narrative plays a key role in keeping black people down. That whole "you gotta know your history man" bullshyt is just that. Bullshyt.

Whens the last time they made a positive movie about black or African history where they didn't have white people playing our roles? Moses was black, his wife was Ethiopian. Jesus was black you ain't ever seen that in a movie.

They make some white dude the king of Egypt but when it comes to slavery they're like naw you can have that.

Think about it man.

I read it all and I only was left with questions. Does Black utopia have white people in it or is it just all Black people?
j

I mean culturally as black people to reach a place where we are not poisoned internally and externally. We continue to exist as is but more integrated. I don't mean isolating us from the rest of the world which is virtually impossible. Martin had this dream didn't he? He hoped for integration and equality.
When I say utopia i mean a place with ideal social political and moral space

Obviously cacs are in the utopia or you would have seen every African American leave the US for the motherland long ago.

That's just the beginning, kid. Black nations in the western hemisphere don't dwell on that shyt. But that's where our history on this side of the earth starts. It's not dwelling, it's having a starting point.
