people talk about sterling but look how FAST the nba got rid of him once the tapes dropped and pressure was put, nba knows they can't alienate black players or black fans but the nfl laughs at both.

nikkas let NFL owners spit in they mouth as long as they get the watch the Cowboys :mjlol: what should I expect from cats that watch college football and root for Ole Miss

Does the NFL still refuse to give a huge chunk of its player guaranteed contract money?
Because that right there is some major :mjpls: shyt, the idea of using players in your coliseum sport, then throwing them the fukk away with nothing to show for themselves once they get injured or burn themselves out.
You can say what you want about the NBA, but at least that league offers guaranteed contracts.

I feel like theres plenty of racist ass owners in the NBA, (your team having one of them), but like you said, in the post-David Stern era, theyre not allowed to flex the same way they are in the NFL.

If you're 30+ and you've been watching sport for 10+ years it shocks me that it's taken so long to come to this conclusion.

I don't. Never watched this Babylon sport... no one outside of the U.S. cares about it, that should tell you everything right there

Is that why the NFL just added more International games over the next ten years? I get your point - it's not as popular in other places but to say no one else watches is beyond false.

Can you tell me a country outside of North America where it is one of the top 5 most popular sports in that country? :lupe:

Kaepernick getting blackballed for the same reason Sterling got kicked out the nba
Money! No team gonna jeapordize their bottom line for a qb who rides the bench
Majority of owners are white or asian cause majority of people rich enough to own a team are white or asian

As far as the head trauma goes, shouldn't take a doctor or scientist to tell u getting hit for a living by huge men is bad for your overall health :comeon:
They knew the risks before they got in the league

White players get treated like slaves and cattle too, that's the nature of pro sports

Theres probably some :mjpls: going on but u reaching too

Hold up.... The title should say, Stop Watching all Sports.
If its not saying that, maybe cause u dont even watch football like that anyway, then u have no point.
U can make the same "40 million dollar slave" arguement for all the major sports. Real talk, even without the slave, racist aspect of sports, nfl and the nba are like reality tv but for men. Keeps ur head focused on stupid things, rather than doing great things...like chix who sit around watching love and hip hop all day.
I did watch a ton of football, and only on the NFL level. I think people are looking for a swooping fix but its not that easy. Im just suggesting a start when the 'cism is just blatantly obvious. I think we can effect change through how we spend our hard earned money.
How can you as a Black man support the partisan political machine??
I dont. Im an independent voter and I am totally against the 2 party system. I believe all candidates should run on their own merits and not some spreadsheet of canned statements presented by a party. I dont want to derail though.
Its just television (entertainment) at the end of the day.. If u dont fck with it or the values of those that own it, YOU dont have to watch it.

It holds no power over your life, your families life, your friends lives, or black lives for that matter (those that play do so by choice).

Calling for a boycott seems kinda extra tbh lol..

If u rly wanted to make a difference, theres plenty of other things you could do than boycott football breh.

Ohh.. And your team is prolly trash

All of those things are still in play, but it doesnt mean we cant do this too. NFL is a huge corporation and they are showing no problems colluding against a brother because they are comfortable with it and dont think enough people are concerned enough not to watch.

I hear what you are saying but militants always pick and choose imo. If I was to take this mentality on everything I would have to leave the U.S.

:snoop: Not sure how this is being militant. You dont have to leave, we have the right to protest to make changes on certain issues, others require more action like voting, drafting bills/laws etc. We dont have to run away, we can plant seeds of change by challenging supremacy.

If you're 30+ and you've been watching sport for 10+ years it shocks me that it's taken so long to come to this conclusion.
Yeah, I guess I noticed it before but never took action. I'd like to inspire others so it doesnt take them as long as it has taken me.

Shid make a hasttag on twitter FB and other outlets and push this shyt.

I think it should be a goal for every black person to not watch or support the NFL until Kap gets a job.

If you're voting, then you are supporting partisan politics.

(Alleged) Democracy is one of the biggest tools of the White man, and it's corrupt.
To want to have a part in it is to share in its corruption.
You can't claim to be an "independent voter" that's againt "the machine" while still aiming to choose which cogs run that machine.

I only say "this season'' in the title because I know you a lot of you guys need to be weaned off of daddy NFL?

What is it about the sport that you cant let go of? :what:

Does your "competitive team" wipe out all moral obligations? :jbhmm:

What more do you need to see?...nooses? :mindblown:

-They are blatantly, and yes 'blatantly' applies, colluding against someone who is standing for our values and rights. The owners are pretty much confirming this every time they open their fat mouths.
-Hundreds of thousands, maybe more, are willing to give up the NFL or their favorite team if he gets signed by one team, but we wont boycott if he doesnt get signed by any of the 32 :dwillhuh:
-Remember when they made Vick serve a suspension after he got out of jail. How crazy is that now that you look back.
-Mobile QBs dont get protection because they are viewed as "runners":mjpls:
-They let the players of the past act as cattle and are now are on the fast track to dementia and prescription suicides. Has the NFL even made a statement about this or are they just throwing cash at it?. You see the legends come out at halftime at 60 years old and they look like they are 90.
-The stadium experience is the worst in all of American sports...fights everywhere, drunks everywhere, loud and belligerents everywhere. Take your child to NFL games brehs :scust:
-Have you listened to the combine, dudes borderline getting turned on " :noah:Look at the quads on him...hes strong, but is he smart...Check out that other one, hes such a specimen...what a stud...look at the size of that kid's hands"
-They are trying to blind us by "allowing" players to celebrate in the end zone again.:mjlol:

Lets hold our dollars and viewership this season. Take our 17 Sunday's back and pick up a hobby this season. This is for all black people and those that empathize with the struggle.
Dap and rep. I'm trying to put together a thread on the parallels between slavery and the NFL. Hope I get the time soon.

OP told no lies.

Personally during my 10 year stay in the US, never went to an NFL game, hell I never went to any UCLA football games. Id watch on TV though but eventually I stopped doing that.

This article right here explains everything.

Three Leagues, 92 Teams And One Black Principal Owner

92 teams in the nba.nfl.mlb. ONE MAJORITY BLACK OWNER among all of them.
This is insane.
''It’s common knowledge that the NBA — like the other two biggest U.S. sports leagues, the NFL and Major League Baseball — has many African-American and Latino players. But off the court and off the field, the racial demographics of the leagues are starkly different.''
Can you believe that. :wow:
