I was having a convo with my homegirl about prenups and shyt.

My angle was a man should have a prenup but it should stipulate that if the two parties are together for more than like 7-10 yrs then the woman should leave something and she agreed. Now when I brought up the inverse she said the man shouldn't get shyt. I'm like . She like "how you know he not waiting her out? she gotta protect her shyt" And I said "the same thing could be the case for the woman." After that all I got hit with was "but still" blah blah bullshyt. I knew we wasn't getting anywhere after that. But on the real how can you be such a hypocrite?

Double standards is the mantra of our times breh. Whether irl or on the coli, people always find ways to rationalize when they do the same thing they complain about others doing, or when they don't apply the same logic to themselves and to others in general. I guess we all do it to an extent. Might have something to do with self-preservation or something like that.

I've actually seen friends in this same situation. The men brought NOTHING to the table at marriage and after 10 years of pure fukkeries they now divorcing and going after the ladies only asset/ roof over her head, for herself and children.

Now he gets to start again, without housing the children or being their main care giver 24/7, that's a nice head start.
