There is no problems with taking pictures. You will be roaming so you will be charged extra for calls, text, and data. You will get a text with the rates as soon as you enter another country. Check with att if they offer a international plan for that country

Make sure your phone is unlocked and buy a local SIM from whatever country you're going to. If you're going Europe Vodafone is pretty decent for prepaid

It really depends on where you are going in the EU. In certain countries it is really easy and cheap to get a SIM card that's like valid for a month with pretty decent minutes and data (~20 euros). Also, it's still in the works but the plan is that as long as you are in the EU and have a SIM card from one of the EU countries you will not get charged roaming.

If you are not sure about what kind of roaming charges you are going to get overseas put your phone on airplane mode and if you have to roam, only textt. You can rack up a really high bill by calling and using data without knowing it.

Make sure you get a euro plug adapter to charge your electronics.

To add to this, get a power bank charger or extra battery for emergencies / instances where a socket is not availablle.

Finally, use free wifi if available but stay safe - I personally wouldn't do my banking or access any sensitive information over a public wifi spot.

yeah thats what I was going to ask about...

are you able to buy it in the U.S?

cause I dont want to actually wait to buy it in Amsterdam,

I want it before hand instead of looking around Amsterdam for a phone charger
