Contact your provider. You have AT&T, so call them or go into a store. They'll tell you exactly what you can and can't do and what plans they offer depending on where you are traveling.

They sell travel plug adapters in the US, at target and other places. Cheapest route is online (i.e. Amazon) if you have time, that way you can read product reviews as well.

yeah thats what I was going to ask about...

are you able to buy it in the U.S?

cause I dont want to actually wait to buy it in Amsterdam,

I want it before hand instead of looking around Amsterdam for a phone charger

i copped this 1

It does not work in Italy, UK, or Switzerland tho cause they have different outputs. I used it for Morocco and Spain.

get a prepaid international SIM card. some have data limits, some have length limits, e.g. 7 days.

If you don't want the hassle, just put your phone on airplane mode and use Wi-Fi to keep in touch. If you're expecting important calls teach whoever's gonna call you to use whatsapp calls or another app with free calls.

OREI Grounded Universal 2 in 1 Schuko Plug

thank you

by the way,

I've heard that whenever you buy a adapter for use in a foreign country,

you have to be aware of "voltage" or something....because if you buy the wrong one,

it could potentially overheat your phone or something?

are you familiar with what I'm talking about?

if so, can I still buy the adapter you recommended?

if you're plugging in phones/laptop/tablets they are multi-voltage so they have a range and can handle it

if you're plugging in an old appliance like an old hair dryer, then you would need a converter

i posted an adapter, not a converter. it just makes sure your plug fits into the outlet. and yea you're good with that.
