How close are you to your nieces, nephews, cousins, etc.

Do ya'll still feel close with your close relatives. Even as yourself being a grown up.

Last year I went to Africa to see my extended fam and went to chill with my cousins that I had started meeting for the first time, and all 5 of us were very close in age (18-22 years old, myself 20). By the time i left back to America, it felt as if I had known them for a long time. We even got all our contacts and talk to each other via WhatsApp as if we're next door neighbors. I never knew we could be this close friends with each other at our current ages since I didn't know about any of them until recently and i only stayed there for 3 weeks.

The cousins I grew up with I seldom speak to, There's no beef (well, maybe with one ...maybe, I have no idea) but I just don't talk to them often. Nieces and nephews, they're all pretty young..closer to some than others just because of circumstance, again, no beef with anyone.

Glad you got to get close to your family. I've been dealing with some other issues but when I get that together I plan to make efforts to reconnect to mine.
