I ain’t never seen a black person make fun of Steve Jobs for owning less than 50% of apple. That nikka got kicked outta of his own damn company. I’ve never seen bill gates get made fun of for owning less than 50% of Microsoft either.

But let a black business owner have several partner or investors....... :bustback:

Bill Gates and Steve Jobs did own the majority of their respective companies. But when they decided to take them public, they preferred to be billionaires versus just holding onto equity in stocks.

So they sold majority for money right? I guess it’s only okay for a certain demographic to do that.

White business owners don't preach that their businesses are white owned

Next :sas2:

I was gonna say that the was the thing Jay-Z did with Tidal, but im not sure he ever preached about Tidal being for black ppl.

If u go back and watch the first Tidal commercials, its all musicians, not just black ones.

That's actually part of the answer right there. Black people need to realize that "black owned" isn't a badge of honor but it's an actual anchor around your neck. Be a business owner that just happens to be black. Also not because you're black and own a business means that you have to cater to or want black people to be your main clientele. A lot of black folks let their misguided sense of racial loyalty hold them back and send them to the poor house.

he didn't but his stans did. I remember because I was one of them:lolbron:

We questioned why people were dropping salt on a black man trying to compete with Apple,Spotify. And how it would be good to have a black man in a power position to help black artist. I still agree with that sentiment, but since then Natureboy exposed the fact that black business is a scam and a sham for the most part.
